During the pandemic, St George’s Church has been supporting the work of LCM in providing craft packs for the children of families receiving food bank packages.

Watch Rosemary, a member of St George’s, talk about the work.

The Food Bank is run by a Christian charity that produces food packages for some of the most needy people in the country.  During the COVID crisis they dealt with more people in a week than they would normally deal with in a month.

We support the Wimbledon branch of the Food Bank. When the church is open, donations of food can be dropped off after our church services – there is a blue box for food under the back table.   Here’s a list of what the Food Bank need this week (updated weekly).

Donations of food and money are still welcome.  We have a box at the back of church where people can leave food every Sunday, after the service from 10.30am to 11.30am.   All four of the parish churches can make referrals to the food for those in need.

Thanks to Rosemary and the team for all their hard work.  And thanks to all those who have donated colouring books, pipe cleaners, sandwich bags, stamps and much more.
