The Ark is currently open at the new start time of 9.30am, finishing at 11.30am.

We will keep the recommended precautions to keep safe from Covid – we will limit numbers to 15 families, have a few less toys out, do regular cleaning, and use the garden in warmer weather. But, restrictions permitting, we hope we will be able to operate near enough as normal.

What happens at the Ark

The Ark  is a toddler group in Morden. It takes place on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 11.30am at St George’s Hall in term time. Children under primary school age are welcome with their parents or carers.

At the sessions, the children can play with a room full of toys.  We have a craft activity.  During our story time, we will include a short Christian story or ‘thought’.

New families are welcome to turn up.  We will have to limit numbers to no more than 15 families. We operate on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Tea and Coffee are served for the adults.  During the pandemic, please bring drinks for the children. Refreshments are free of charge and served in disposable cups. Entry is £1 for the first child, and 50p per additional children. We offer concessions for people in financial difficulty.

Adults complete a registration form when they visit for the first time.   Personal details will be protected as outlined in Our Data Privacy Notice. All of our helpers are volunteers from St George’s Church.  They are DBS checked and recruited in keeping with our safeguarding policy.

COVID Safety

Please do not attend the group if you or your child have had any of the Covid symptoms in the last 10 days. Everyone attending the ARK will be asked to santise their hands upon entry. Adults are invited to wear facemasks inside, but not children and not in the garden.
