Interview with ‘Ace’ from Gladiators (Warren Furman)
Our next Real Lives events will be happening from October 8th to 11th 2026.
Real Lives was last run by the Parish of Morden in October 2024. Every evening, we heard from a variety of guests who shared their stories of how Jesus had changed their lives.
On Tuesday, Piyush, a Consultant Surgeon, spoke of his journey to faith from Hinduism: “I found all religions said do, do, do; Christianity was different, it was about Grace”, what God has done for us through Jesus.
After the heartache of illness and loosing family members, what kept Liz going? She spoke on Wednesday and said it was knowing that “God is still looking after us. He will not leave us.”

Interview with Piyush Jani
Ian described a life of bodybuilding, door work and violence before he came to faith. The first thing Ian experienced when he came to faith in Christ was an incredible sense of peace. “I went home that night and slept. It was the first time I had slept well in weeks, with all the paranoia and fear.”
We had a Gladiator in the house on Friday. Warren told us about his life as ‘Ace’ in the TV hit show Gladiators and how he went from the rat race of Show Business to finding grace in Jesus.
