On Saturday 14 November 7.30pm, churches, communities and groups from every corner of the country will take part in the Tearfund Big Quiz Night – and we would love you to join us at St George’s Church online.
Last year over 500 churches took part, raising £250k; this year Tearfund are hoping for more. People cannot meet in person due to the COVID restrictions and, so, for the first time, the quiz will be held online and over the telephone. It should be a fun night.
Here’s what will happen
Enter as a household or on your own and you will be put into a team. You simply need a computer, tablet or telephone to play over Zoom, hosted by us. There will be eight, family friendly rounds. We will play each other (not other churches) and friends are most welcome. We will be playing for fun; not competitively (let the reader understand!). We may also throw in some goodies for the winners.
What does it cost?
It is free to enter and play but we aim to raise money for people like Alaya, who are supported by Tearfund. Players are are therefore invited to give a donation to Tearfund online or by cheque. Otherwise, if you are playing by telephone, calls are charged at a local rate but these should be free if you have inclusive minutes to local numbers.
How to enter
Simply drop us an email or text. We will send you the Zoom login details so you can access the quiz on Saturday 14th November at 7.30pm.
Do join us. It should bring some cheer to an otherwise rather depressing time and raise some money for those in desperate need.
