UPDATE 5/2/2021

The Standing Committee of St George’s has taken the decision to suspend our church services in our buildings. We will open again on Sunday 28th February, the first Sunday after half-term.

St George’s has remained open for much of the pandemic. We have not had a case of COVID. However, while church services are still permitted under law, we are entering the peak phase of the pandemic and we want to ensure that people remain safe.

In the mean time, church services will continue online and on our telephones. Please see this page for updates.

Here’s what else is happening at St George’s Church:-

Sundays Online

For the time being, we will continue to live stream our service and this can be watched live on our website. We invite you to join us in prayer for our country on Sundays at 10.30am.

Care for Others

We are trying to keep in touch with others by the phone and email. If people need practical assistance and don’t have family or friends to help, we will do what we can to help. Please contact us.

Praying for People

We continue to pray for the needs of our community at our Central Prayer Meet, which is virtual.  We welcome prayer requests from anyone and pray for all those who get in touch.

Virtual Groups

We will be experimenting with hosting midweek groups online, including our prayer meeting, home group and Rooted youth group using Zoom.  Contact the office for more details.

Supporting Food Bank

We are collecting for the children of families receiving food packages from the local.   To give paper, craft materials, school supplies or money, contact Rosemary on 020 8640 8853

Funerals

Funerals are difficult times, particularly during the current restrictions.  We are available to take services at the crematorium for upto 30 people.  We will do what we can to provide care over the phone and support families through the process. Please contact the number below.

Contact

Our office staff are working from home so please do not call our normal number. Please email info@stgm.uk (preferably) or text or call 07746 332495.
