We want visitors to feel very welcome. Here are answers to some common questions.
FAQs
What’s the time of the service?
The service starts at 10.30am and usually last for about an hour – less for an All-Age service. Here’s more on our Sunday meetings and travel and accessibility.
What do I wear?
Wear what you feel comfortable in; we are very informal. If your child wants to wear a favourite superhero costume, that’s fine!
Do I need to believe the Bible or be a good person to come along?
No. We all have questions, doubts, and troubles. We come to church to learn more about the God of the Bible who changes lives.
Is there parking?
The church has a small car park with 5 spaces directly in front of the church. There is plenty of free street parking around the church. For more details on travel, click here.
What is there for children to do?
We have Sunday groups for primary school aged children, with Bible teaching and fun activities during term time. There is an area in church with toys for preschool children to use. Our youth group meets on Sunday evenings during term time. We have an all-age service on the first Sunday of the month which is child friendly.
What happens during the services?
Usually we sing Christian songs, have prayers, Bible readings, talk and, sometimes, special presentations. There’s more on our midweek activities on our Events page.
Will I be asked to do anything?
No. Words for the service will be projected on a screen at the front so we can participate if we wish.
How long are the services?
Our services are typically around an hour long. Our all-age service – which are usually on the first Sunday of the month and are when the children stay in church – are around 45 minutes long.
What do I do in a Communion Service?
Baptised Christians are welcome to share in the bread and wine, or you can go forward for a prayer or stay in your seat.
Will I be asked for money?
No. Donations are welcome but we don’t take collections or ask visitors for money.
Can I talk to someone about questions, problems or be prayed for?
Of course. Have a chat to one of the Welcome Team on the door or the Service Leader after church.
What happens after the service?
Free tea and coffee are normally served in the Lounge area next door. Please stick around and meet people. People leave whenever they wish.
What disabled facilities does the church have?
There is flat access to the church and hall through the central link door. The building has a disabled toilet with baby changing area, and a loop fitted in the church for hearing aids. Large print service materials can be made available if requested in advance.
