St Helier 20/20s - St George's Church, Morden

People speak of 20/20 vision, being clear sighted. St Helier 20/20s is a clear plan for the future of St George’s Church

Clear Sighted

2023 was a great year for the church. There were lots of encouragements from our outreach work and church services. But that also presented us with challenges. We needed more leaders, the funding for our Outreach Worker was coming to an end, and our buildings needed investment.

It therefore seemed the right time to be praying and planning for the development of our work. The aim of our parish is to help people know, grow and go to serve Jesus. In April 2024, our congregation met to discuss how to implement these aims on the St Helier estate over the next 5 years.

This resulted in 15 goals in 3 areas:-

Goals for 5 Years

People – develop our outreach, discipleship, and leaders.

Buildings – develop, improve access, and energy efficiency.

Finance – raise funds for our outreach work on the St Helier estate

Making Vision Reality

We need people to support our gospel work by praying for it, giving money to fund it, and helping in our outreach.

We have already had a hugely encouraging response to St Helier 20/20’s. In all our church life, we look to God who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3.20).
